The Postpartum Village
A postpartum experience like no other.
A place for connection and community.
"I absolutely loved joining my village each week. The guests were lots of fun, but the real highlight for me was beautiful bush locations and connection. Roxanne is amazing at holding space for us new mamas, encouraging us to be our authentic selves. The way she supported such honest, uplifting discussions really helped us to connect with one another on a deep level. I’m so glad that I found this little village, both for myself and my little one."

What do we do each week? While each week is different, the general flow is a welcome and check in and mindful bushwalk, followed by a circle on various topics or a guest speaker. For half the sessions, we will be joined by expert guests which include yoga teachers, infant and child specialists and postpartum doulas. The sessions we don't have a guest joining us I will share on my topics of expertise, including play, nature and child development. I will also run extended circles on topics such as relationships after children. I am very aware of the group and babies and adapt the session flow as needed.
What happens if it's raining? We will change the location to one of our sites with shelter. If there is severe weather or any risk to our safety, the session will be held in a hall or rescheduled. You will receive a full refund if we need to cancel a session or you cannot make the rescheduled date.
Can I bring older siblings? It is not recommend to bring older siblings. This village is specifically curated for mum’s and babes under one and it may be challenging to participate with an older sibling in attendance. In saying that, if there is an odd week where you cannot find care for your older sibling they can attend and I will provided some age appropriate play opportunities for them.
How much is it and what does the price cover? The investment is $310 for the full 10 weeks (only $31 per session). The cost covers the facilitator and guests wages as well as insurance, general business expenses and light snacks and tea. The village really met and exceeded my expectations. I met an amazing group of mamas who I connected with and
was able to share my motherhood journey with in beautiful locations around Hobart - all while bub got to enjoy the
benefits of nature and a more self aware Mama.
I absolutely loved the Village, the diversity of the guest speakers, beautiful locations I got to explore and being able to
share experiences with likeminded mums. It was very well organised and a big motivator to get out more with my bub
even though it might be cold or rainy.
It was just the right amount of women for it to be intimate, but still a big group. Such a safe place that I looked forward
to every week to share the highs and lows of this parenting journey
