Bush Mamas Postpartum Village
A postpartum experience like no other.
Nurturing Connection, Empowering Parenthood, Growing Together in Nature.

"I absolutely loved joining my village each week. The guests were lots of fun, but the real highlight for me was beautiful bush locations and connection. Roxanne is amazing at holding space for us new mamas, encouraging us to be our authentic selves. The way she supported such honest, uplifting discussions really helped us to connect with one another on a deep level. I’m so glad that I found this little village, both for myself and my little one."

What to Expect

Each village gathering is a little different and is shaped by the land, the weather,
our guest speakers, and the beautiful souls who join us.
We embrace flexibility, warmth, and connection.
Each week, we:
-
Begin with a guided, mindful walk to ground ourselves in nature.
-
Sit together in circle, sharing stories, reflections, and a cup of tea.
-
Welcome a guest who brings inspiration and wisdom to our village space.
There is always time to simply be — to connect, to breathe, and to find community.

Our Journey Together- An example (each village will differ)

Week 1
We open our village journey with a warm welcome, a mindful walk, and connection to self, nature, baby, and each other.
We share our birth stories in circle and create simple eco-paint prints of our babies’ tiny hands or feet. A group photo marks the beginning of our time together.
Week 2
We take a longer, grounding walk and reflect on the early stages of our motherhood journeys.
An introduction to matrescence — the transformation into motherhood — invites deeper conversation and connection.
Week 3
Guest: Dr. Renee White (Fill Your Cup)
Dr. Renee joins us for a gentle and supportive Q&A session, sharing wisdom on motherhood and the postpartum experience.
Week 4
Guest: Catherine (Hobart Baby Music)We celebrate our final gathering with a joyful baby music session, led by Catherine.
Week 5

Places We Explore
Throughout the season, we wander and gather in some of Hobart’s most beautiful natural spaces:
-
Collinsvale, Domain, Cascade Gardens, Botanical Gardens, Lenah Valley, Montrose Foreshore, Howrah, Rosny, Risdon Brook Dam, Waterworks Reserve, Kingston, Dru Point. Locations vary depending on guests, weather and participant locations.
The village really met and exceeded my expectations. I met an amazing group of mamas who I connected with and
was able to share my motherhood journey with in beautiful locations around Hobart - all while bub got to enjoy the
benefits of nature and a more self aware Mama.
I absolutely loved the Village, the diversity of the guest speakers, beautiful locations I got to explore and being able to
share experiences with likeminded mums. It was very well organised and a big motivator to get out more with my bub
even though it might be cold or rainy.
It was just the right amount of women for it to be intimate, but still a big group. Such a safe place that I looked forward
to every week to share the highs and lows of this parenting journey
Our Welcome Packs
Thanks to generous donations from small local and Australian businesses, we are able to provide our mamas with beautiful goodie bags.
